Snake Game History
The first version of the game was released as part of an arcade compendium entitled Blockade which came out in 1976 and was published by Gremlin. The first home computer version was released two years later in 1978 and was aptly titled “Worm.” The popularity of the game carries into the present day, as the game is one of the default games that were supplied with most Nokia mobile phones.
The History of Snake
Although the concept of the game is simple by design, it does take some practise to master. As the player you have control of the snake, the main objective of the game is simple, guide the snake around the playing area whilst avoiding the walls and hitting it's own tail.
During the game various items of food are deposited on screen, every-time the snake eats a piece of food, it grows in length. As the length of the snake grows, the difficulty factor of the game increases also. The snake cannot be stopped from moving at any-time during the game.
